My work history at Yandex
As a UI/UX instructor at Yandex, I was responsible for leading classes of over 150 students, utilizing my expertise to educate and inspire learners. Additionally, I mentored new instructors, sharing best practices and techniques for effective class preparation and public speaking.

How it all began
Upon discovering the mentorship opening at Yandex, I felt an immediate sense of inspiration and knew that it would be an ideal opportunity for me to advance my career. I submitted my resume and a comprehensive cover letter detailing why I was the best candidate for the position. Despite strong competition from over 100 applicants, I was invited to participate in a rigorous interview process, which included three stages and three tests. I successfully completed each step and subsequently had two Zoom meetings with the team and managers. After a brief period of consideration, I was delighted to be offered the position, having been identified as the perfect candidate for the role.
Tutor Academy Of Practicum by Yandex
After a successful interview, I completed the two-week Tutor Academy at Practicum by Yandex, gaining valuable insights into online teaching and building strong relationships with my team. The program covered effective lecturing techniques, communication strategies with students, conflict resolution, and optimizing the learning process. I also learned new skills to make my workshops more engaging and attract a broader audience.
Introduction and First Workshop for Students
The group consisted of more than 150 individuals, presenting a significant challenge of having insufficient time to answer all questions.

To address this, I implemented a teaching technique of alternating between giving lectures and answering questions every 10-15 minutes. Additionally, I employed a combination of oral and chat-based questions to accommodate different learning styles. For unanswered questions, I documented them and provided responses on Slack to ensure that all inquiries were addressed.
Course program

The course program is a comprehensive boot camp that enables students to master the profession from scratch within a condensed timeframe. As a mentor, my primary responsibility is to provide guidance and ensure that they remain on track with their progress. It's also essential to offer support during challenging moments, which are an inevitable part of the intensive program. Drawing on my own educational experiences, I am able to share personal insights and respond to students' inquiries. Above all, I take pride in providing encouragement and support throughout the program.

Here are some of the program topics that I taught:
Tools that I used during the training program
Figma - created detailed and realistic prototypes. I also showed the advanced features of Figma: community, plugins, FigJam, how to draw vector pictures.
Notion - for taking notes and teamwork with colleagues.
Miro - for teamwork where we created schemes, generated ideas, conducted tests and surveys.
Slack - for working with colleagues. I also posted announcements of workshops in Slack and answered questions from students.
Readymag - simple and powerful web tool for designing websites, presentations, portfolios and all kinds of digital publications. Used in the program to develop a finished website.
Tilda - website builder that allows you to transport ready-made layouts from Figma. Used for the final creation of sites.
Zoom - used for workshops, meetings with colleagues and recording videos with answers to students' questions
Pachka - fthis is a Russian corporate messenger, used to communicate with the team and students.
Working process
Working in this position was an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to develop a diverse set of skills and gain valuable expertise. Over the course of my tenure, I had the opportunity to mentor and train more than 200 students, many of whom have gone on to become successful professionals in the field.

In recognition of my dedication and hard work, I received commendations and recommendations from my students, who praised my teaching and guidance. I also had the opportunity to serve as a personal tutor for three months, which enabled me to further refine my teaching and public speaking skills.

Moreover, this role allowed me to hone my planning and organizational skills, ensuring that each lesson was thoughtfully structured and well-executed. As a token of appreciation for my contributions, I received a branded T-shirt and badge from Yandex, which I wear with pride as a testament to the success and impact of my work :)
